WHITE COLLAR BLUE
THE SERIES

WHITE COLLAR BLUE is a psychological crime show set on the glittering Pacific coastline of South West Sydney. There, the Kingsway task force deal with major crime. The blue and white of the sand, sea, surf and sky is a backdrop for crimes that, in most crime drama, happen in the dead of an urban night, not the broad light of a seaside day.

WHITE COLLAR BLUE investigates a wide circle of criminal activity. The lives and dilemmas of the cops, the crims, the lawyers and even the odd private investigator are irrevocably linked. And not everything is as it seems...

WHITE COLLAR BLUE explores contemporary life and all its contradictions, with heart and humour. It tells the big stories of crime and passion and the small stories of longing and hope on the coastal front of the city...where a few key suburbs form a template of the world.

WHITE COLLAR BLUE is a world that is intimate and psychological, finely balanced between the demands of work and the needs of home. A world where the balance of good and evil, money and spirit, power and service, male and female is forever in swing. It is a world that, finally, is life-affirming. It is about seeking wholeness, as a society, as a team, as a couple and as an individual.

THE CHARACTERS

Kingsway Crime Squad is run by TED HUDSON, an aged warrior who balances a 'take no prisoners' approach with surprising humanity and compassion. He's tough but fair and runs the unit with the proud critical eyes of a demanding father.

JOE HILL is a streetwise detective with two ex- wives, two kids and attitude. A maverick cop, Joe came up the Force the hard way through the PCYC, uniform and finally plain clothes and homicide. He's a battler, fighting for a better world.

HARRIET WALKER, Joe's partner, represents everything he hates - middle class, educated, connected and, worst of all, was once a Fed. Despite their differences, Joe enjoys working with Harry - maybe because she's a woman who has made her own way in a man's world without losing her femininity.

SOPHIE MARINKOVITCH, is a rookie detective, keen, cute and a single mother. It's not easy juggling work and home, especially when she is anxious to prove herself out in the field.

Her partner is THEO RAHME, handsome star pupil of the Police Academy. He has everything going for him - looks, charm and ability. He's had a smooth ride so far, but all that is about to change.

NICOLE BROWN has moved up in the world. She started off as a Police Support Clerk and wanted to join the Police. Only problem? As a teenager she walked away from a charge of 'Possession of a Prohibited Drug'. With Hudson's help, Nicole is accepted into the Force. She is now a uniformed cop. But does she have what it takes to realise her ultimate dream - to become a detective?

These leading characters comprise the heart and soul of the major crime squad and have to deal with crime at many levels. From the streets, homes, sand dunes and alleys where crime occurs, to police offices and courts where it is processed and where defence and prosecution fight for the end result.
