| Knapman Wyld Television is a company with
a mission to produce popular, high quality and innovative television
drama. |
 |
The
producers, Steve Knapman and Kris Wyld, began their association on the
critically acclaimed, multi-award winning crime series, WILDSIDE and
continued their association by creating and producing the telemovie and
the subsequent 40 hour crime series, WHITE COLLAR BLUE and three mini series (20 hours) of EAST WEST 101. They have now
produced more than one hundred hours of contemporary crime drama.
However, Knapman Wyld's plans encompass many
other areas. To apply the high production value and quality performance
demonstrated in its latest production to other genres is a priority.
Knapman Wyld is currently developing a number of other television and
feature projects. |

EAST WEST 101 |
SEASON 3 NOW IN PRODUCTION
|
|
| “...the most cinematic crime show we've produced so far. And, in my view, the best.” Graeme Blundell The Australian |
Australian film magazine, Empire, has listed EAST WEST 101 in ‘The Top 50 TV on DVD of the 21st Century’ in their January 2010 issue.
The magazine praised the series, writing that it “disproved the theory that Australia can’t produce drama to compete with our American counterparts”.
Also on the list are THE WIRE, THE SOPRANOS and THE SHIELD.

Season 3 of EAST WEST 101 will be a 7 x 1 hour mini-series, maintaining the complex storytelling and high production values of the previous seasons.
In keeping with the East West theme already established, the new season explores the ramifications of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan through crimes committed in Australia. What happened during the war in the opium fields of the Chora Valley, and the collateral damage to civilians in Tikrit, comes home to the streets of Lakemba and the malls of Cabramatta.
